[CLASSICAL MUSIC] This weekend at Kleinhans Music Hall, the Buffalo Philharmonic Orchestra and the Buffalo Philharmonic Choir present a treat: a performance of Carl Orff’s powerful and magical Carmina Burana, the composer’s adaptation of a collection of secular medieval poems. It is, apart from his musical education program for children, the work for which Orff is most famous, and rightly so. Also on the program is BPO principal trumpeter Alex Jokipii doing a turn as soloist in Jaako Kuusisto’s Trumpet Concerto, all under the direction of BPO musical director JoAnn Falletta. There are performance on Statuday, May 12 at 8pm and Sunday, May 13 at 2:30pm.
