VETTE Fete at Nietzsche’s
[FUNDRAISER] If you’ve ever traveled the block of Trinity Place that runs from Elmwood to Virginia, you’ll have noticed the lovely Trinity-Tupper Community Garden, which is supported by one of the West Side’s many active block clubs. The annual VETTE Fete at Nietsche’s supports both. (VETTE stand for Virginia, Elmwood, Trinity, Tupper, and Edward, the streets that circumscribe the block club.) It’s a party worth attending even if you don’t know the neighborhood: Music comes courtesy of Tom Stahl & the Dangerfields, Beer Hall Philosophers, and the delightful Ann Philippone. Because it’s a fundraiser in Allentown, there will be a 50/50 raffle. (And it’s usually a big one.) Plus food, drink, and good times. A portion of the proceeds will be donated to Gay & Lesbian Youth Services, too. Suggested $5 donation at the door. It’s pleasant and warm way to spend a snowy April Sunday afternoon.
