[FOOTBALL] Last month when we started running David Staba’s “We Want Marangi” Bills column after games, the playoffs were a Jim Mora fever dream. Everyone, including our visiting sports editor had settled in to the reality that this rather imperfect squad of overachievers had anything in store but more of the same: A good enough record to miss out on elite quarterback draft position, a bad enough record to hit the links in some other warmer part of the world. 

But all that has changed and while we doubt Staba’s contributions have anything to do with it, we’re not ready to rule it out. So Staba and The Public invite anyone and everyone to ride the wave with us this Sunday at the Lenox Grill for our inaugural We Want Marangi Playoff Watch Party. If it doesn’t work out, it won’t be our fault. We only condone superstition when it works in our favor.
