The Spill Canvas

[EMO] It might be a miracle that the music of the Spill Canvas made it from Sioux Falls, South Dakota to your ears here in Buffalo in the early 2000s, but I guess that was the power of emo music. The band was no stranger to Buffalo during the first wave of emo, playing venues like the Icon and Showplace—their label at the time, One Eleven Records, featured a few Buffalo-based emo bands like Jinxed and This Day and Age. Though the Spill Canvas haven’t released an album since 2012’s Gestalt, the band, lead by vocalist and guitarist Nick Thomas, are on tour in celebration of the 10 year anniversary of their 2007 album No Really, I’m Fine. Relocated to Mohawk Place from the Waiting Room, Spill Canvas brings to Buffalo on Thursday, October 19 with support from singer/songwriter Chase Hughlin.
