Video: “Speck of Dust” by First Ward

Recommended if you like: Radiohead, Coldplay, Arcade Fire

A new music video from Buffalo-based band First Ward, featuring their song “Speck of Dust” dropped recently. The time lapsed lyric video was shot throughout Western New York and accompanies their dramatic indie rock single. Catch First Ward at the Tudor Lounge this Saturday. For more info, see our event listing.

Album: Rhythm & Roll by The Rust Belt Brigade

Recommended if you like: Dropkick Murphys, Kurt Vile, Dr. Dog

Americana band Rust Belt Brigade will release their eight-track full length record Rhythm & Roll on December 16. The album features folky songs built mostly from banjo, guitar, fiddle, light percussion, and gritty punky vocals. Highlights include the album’s first single “Low Bridge (Erie Canal),” an ode to Western New York, and “Stardust,” a catchy, uptempo campfire stomp-along.
