Pizza is Everything

Bill Murray once quipped, “Unless you are a pizza, the answer is yes, I can live without you.” Whether you’re celebrating the beginning or end of a relationship, a new job, or the fact that it’s Thursday, you just can’t go wrong with pizza.

 Ristorante Lombardo
1198 Hertel Avenue, Buffalo, ristorantelombardo.com

This North Buffalo mainstay is one of WNY’s finest dining establishments, but don’t let that dissuade you from ordering a stack of pies to go. Woodfired pizzas are the best kind of pizzas and Lombardo’s are not only affordable, they’re really hard to beat.

 Hydraulic Hearth
716 Swan Street, Buffalo, hydraulichearth.com

This Larkinville destination restaurant was practically built on its Arugula Pesto pizza with brussels sprouts, and for good reason! We’re also fans of its more playful ‘zas, topped with anything from mac and cheese to cheeseburger fixin’s (pictured above).

 Vera
200 Lexington Avenue, Buffalo, verapizzeria.com

Vera, celebrating its anniversary this week, has been churning out killer cocktails and good pies on Lexington for five years now. Stop in for a classic Vera Margherita or try something less familiar, like this rapini and eggplant mashup with a drizzle of honey!
