“Nik Rivers, Program Director, Afternoon Drive DJ from Alternative Buffalo 107.7 is a friend of mine. He had asked me to come on stage with him to take some photos. This is him with David Boyd, Soren Hanson, and Louis Vecchio of New Politics. Kerfuffle was an amazing day full of music and fun! Sold out crowd of 12,000 people!”

“So, while I wrote that “Apparently, I am a graffiti artist now” on Instagram, I definitely did not erect the beautiful statement that was plastered to the North and South sides of the hot pink exterior of Spoiled Rotten. I first saw it this past weekend during the pearl clutching grandma Garden Walk. If you didn’t see the graffiti in its entirety, you may have viewed one side and just shrugged. For me, I saw the south side of the building first which donned “Is This The Pink??,” and because this is my kind of humor I rolled into Elmwood Avenue laughing. So, whatever genius would spray paint Spoiled Rotten with “Is this the Pink?;” kudos guy or gal, I am right there with you.”

I’m a graffiti artist all of the sudden. #urbex #graffiti #thepink

“This picture was taken outside of Hotel Lafayette the night we had some free coffee and cupcakes at Public Espresso to introduce ourselves to the community. Brainbar is a place where the community can come together to learn something new—whether it’s knowledge of something obscure or a hands-on skill—from someone different. We’ll hold classes taught by people in the community, to people in the community, leveraging skillsets that are totally unique to the Buffalo. Teachers are compensated for their time with credit to take classes or a cut of the ticket sales. After-class time is also a great chance for class-goers to meet new people with interests similar to their own over a beer, a glass of wine, or coffee.”

“I work at a job I absolutely hate, so to unwind I ride my bike and take photos with my iPhone. I decided to ride up the river walk one day when I wasn’t working. On my journey I encountered the intoxicating aroma of funnel cakes and I saw a large crowd. Turns out I had run right into what is known as “Canal Fest.” I saw the ferris wheel in the distance and I had to get a shot of it. I love moments like that and Buffalo is full of them; something fun going on all the time.”
