Single: “Reckless” by Humble Braggers

Recommended if you like: Joywave, Sir Sly, Passion Pit

This week, local synth-pop band Humble Braggers have released a new single titled “Reckless.” The single, a sleek, well produced electro pop track, was released on Admirable Traits Records and is the first single from the band’s upcoming EP, Cycle, which is slated for release at the end of August. Singer Tom Burtless strikes a great balance between a breathy intimate vocal style and soaring, reverb soaked arena rock ready sound. The song sparkles with bouncing synths and locked, grooving drums throughout its three minute and 15 second run time. To hear the track, visihumblebraggers.com.

EP: “Soul Cycle” / “What It Is”

Recommended if you like: Treasure Fingers, Golf Clap, J Phlip

Buffalo-based DJ/production duo Eyes Everywhere released a new EP this week featuring two new tracks, “Soul Cycle,” and “What It Is.” The tracks cycle through bombastic rave and booming tech house bursting with hooky vocal samples and perfectly rounded basslines. The second track, “What It Is” is a collaboration Orlando, Florida-based artist tech-house Dead Space, who surely elevates the high energy vibe of the track. The EP—released on Atlanta-based record label Psycho Disco, which was founded by DJ and producer Treasure Fingers—is out now.
