ESPN2 talk show host Keith Olbermann called the people of Lancaster “The Worst Persons In The Sports World” this week for the way they’ve handled their school mascot name controversy, which included what Olbermann called “a pro-‘Redskins’ rally.” After the Lancaster school board voted to retire the mascot’s name, students protested and parents threatened to vote down the next school budget, which Olbermann pointed out might force the school to “cut back extracurricular stuff, like ya know, the sports program.”
