Artists Seen: Catherine Linder Spencer

Catherine Linder Spencer is a Buffalo-born and -based visual artist and art educator whose work includes architectural photography, mixed-media collage, and sculpture. Her pieces can be found in private collections throughout the US and in China and have been exhibited widely in museums and galleries including the Albright-Knox, the Burchfield Penney, Hallwalls, and the Castellani Art Museum. She has also participated in many public art projects including “Herd About Buffalo” and “Art on Wheels.” Linder Spencer has been a tireless advocate for the arts and cultural community for over 20 years.  She was a longtime member of City of Buffalo Arts Commission and City of Buffalo Arts and Cultural Funding Advisory Board and continues to serve on a number of not-for-profit boards. Artists Seen: Photographs of Artists in the 21st Century is an ongoing project by photographer David Moog in partnership with the Burchfield Penney Art Center at SUNY Buffalo State.
