by / Feb. 15, 2017 12am EST

Nick Butler is a photographer who was born in Maryland and now lives in Buffalo. While earning his BFA in photography at SUNY Buffalo State (to be conferred in 2017), he studied with artists Les Krims and Jim Sylvia, among others. In addition to showing several award-winning works in group exhibitions, he has had solo shows at Glow Gallery, MusicalFare Theatre, and El Museo. In an artist’s statement, he has written that he strives to “challenge the current cultural views of what constitutes a beautiful body.” For more information on his work, visit nickbutler.wixsite.com/nbphotography or burchfieldpenney.org.
