by / Feb. 8, 2016 10am EST

ATTENTION! Shakespeare in Delaware Park is right around the corner, and auditions to be a part of it are coming up very soon. This is the 41st year that Shakespeare will take over the summer in Buffalo. Auditions will be held Saturday, February 13th from 9am-2pm, Sunday the 14th from 9am-1pm, and Monday the 15th from 5-9 pm at the Buffalo Academy of the Sacred Heart (3860 Main St., Buffalo, NY).

If you want to make an appointment, please call (716) 856-4533 on or after February 2nd. Actors interested should have one Shakespearean monologue memorized for the audition. The monologue cannot exceed two minutes. If you have been a part of Shakespeare in Delaware Park in the past, no monologue is necessary, and you can simply call to see if you are needed for a call back audition.

Shakespeare in Delaware Park is a non-profit organization that’s been bringing the summers of Buffalo amazing entertainment since 1976. The goal of the professional theatre company is to inspire and entertain different audiences through performances of the great works of William Shakespeare.

This summer’s Shakespeare productions will be The Winters Tale from June 23rd through July 17th and Taming of the Shrew from July 28th through August 21st.

Actors, if you’re interested, and don’t want to miss out on this amazing experience, prepare your monologues and schedule an appointment, because this opportunity only comes by once a year.
