Artists Seen: Bob Collignon

Bob Collignon is a photographer based in Buffalo. He received a BFA in 1978 from UB and worked as curator and assistant director at CEPA from 1980 to 1985. In 1984 he co-founded the commercial firm Collignon/Jarosz Photography with fellow photographer Dave Jarosz. The award-winning studio has been in operation ever since, with a number of major regional and national clients. Collignon has also exhibited solo work in galleries and museums, including the permanent collections of the Burchfield Penney and the Albright-Knox. His exhibition “ToyBox: Autos, Aliens, Presidents, Robots and Other Contrived Fictional Fictions” is on view at Café 59 through February. He is married to artist Linda Collignon and collaborates with writer Carl Thiel on an internet radio show, “Focus … It’s Over-rated.” For more information, visitbobdave.com or burchfieldpenney.org.
